Net proceeds from the Walk benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire began in 1986 and granted its first wish in 1987. The Foundation has a 15-member Executive Board and five staff members; CEO, Director of Development, Director of Wishes, Wish Coordinator Assistant and Office Assistant. The goal is to make wishes come true for all NH eligible children.
The New Hampshire Chapter has brought joy to 500 children! Their most popular wish is to visit the Central Florida Walt Disney World attractions, which makes up about 70% of NH wish requests. Some wishes are as expansive as a trip to see cheetahs play in the wild or as simple as a picnic on the beach.
Children who are between the ages of 2 1/2-18, who have been determined by their physician to have a life threatening medical condition, may be eligible for a wish. Out of respect for the children and families they serve, and out of concern for their privacy, children who may be eligible to receive a wish can be referred by one of the following: Parent or legal guardian, the wish child or medical professional.
